Painting

Find painting supplies for watercolour, gouache, acrylic, ink work, colour studies and mixed media: paints, pigments, brushes, palettes, papers, notebooks and prepared supports.

This collection brings together tools for painting with more control: choosing paper that can handle water, selecting a brush for washes or details, testing opacity, building layers, mixing colours, working with transparency, flat colour, texture and drying time. Select the material according to the technique, support and result you want to obtain.

Studio method

Start small: one surface, one palette, one clear test.

A painting session becomes easier to read when the setup is limited. Instead of opening every colour, start with a test strip, a small palette and one brush family. This helps you understand the paint before using it on the final surface.

Test strip

Use a scrap of the same paper or support to test dilution, opacity, edge quality and drying before touching the final piece.

Limited palette

Start with a few colours. A smaller palette makes mixing cleaner and helps avoid dull, overworked colour.

Clean setup

Prepare water, cloth, palette and resting space before painting. This keeps brushes cleaner and reduces rushed corrections.

Before buying: Useful before buying: identify the technique you practise most often, then choose the missing element only — paper, brush, colour or preparation tool.
