Nomad watercolor sketchbook – 300 gsm paper, sketches and color studies
This watercolor sketchbook is designed for color studies, quick sketches, light washes, and on-the-go creative practices.
Its thick 300 gsm paper allows for working with more water than a classic drawing sketchbook, while maintaining good support. It is suitable for pigment tests, small compositions, light studies, and travel journals.
The rigid cover protects the pages during transport, while the flat-opening design allows for freer work across the entire surface. The compact sizes easily fit into a studio bag, pocket, or travel kit.
INFORMATION
This sketchbook is suitable for people who want to paint outside the studio, quickly test a color, capture an atmosphere, or prepare a composition before moving to a larger format.
The 300 gsm paper handles water better than standard sketchbook paper. However, it can still react depending on the amount of water, drying time, and pigment saturation.
The medium, lightly textured grain holds color without being too pronounced. It is suitable for washes, watercolor sketches, palette testing, and small visual studies.

USE & CARE
For a wash, lightly dampen the area, then gradually apply the color. Avoid immediately saturating the page: several light passes allow for better control of transitions.
For watercolor sketches, first draw with a pencil or fine brush, then add color in sections. The compact format is well-suited for quick studies rather than large, heavily loaded washes.
Allow pages to dry completely before closing the sketchbook. If a page has received a lot of water, wait for it to dry completely to limit color transfer to the opposite page.
COMPLEMENTARY TOOLS
To work on washes, backgrounds, and flat colors in this sketchbook, it can be paired with the
bamboo flat brush set.
To test color ranges, transitions, and diffusion textures, it can accompany the
12-color experimental watercolor palette.
