This palette features five ceramic wells for preparing multiple inks, colors, or dilutions during a single session.
Each compartment can hold a different value: concentrated ink, diluted gray, intermediate color, or a pre-mixed blend.
The glazed ceramic provides a smooth, easy-to-clean surface, suitable for washes, calligraphy, watercolors, and water-based paints.
INFORMATION
Preparing dilutions before you begin allows you to retrieve a specific value immediately without having to constantly adjust the amount of water in your brush.
The five wells remain separate, so dense ink can sit alongside several grays or colors without the preparations mixing together.

USE & CARE
For a wash, arrange your preparations from the lightest to the most concentrated. This way, you can change values without having to dilute all your ink or color.
Use a clean brush when moving from one well to another to avoid contaminating the lighter mixes.
Rinse the palette with clear water after use, before the ink or pigments dry. Dry it with a soft cloth or let it air dry.

Prepare a fairly concentrated color in one well and then gradually dilute it into the following ones. You will thus obtain a consistent range of values from the same mixture.
