Nomad Artist Box — compact storage with an adjustable stand for writing and drawing outside the studio.
This box combines a small notebook,
a few pencils, and the essential tools for a short session in a single format.
The lid transforms into an inclined stand to hold the notebook
during a sketch, note-taking, or preparatory work.
Its use is intentionally targeted:
it is suitable for a light and organized kit,
not for carrying a complete set of painting supplies.
Information
The 22 × 15 × 6 cm format keeps essential tools together
without carrying a separate case and stand.
Instruments are held by rings,
elastic bands, and two retaining clips.
Once the box is open, the lid can hold a compact notebook.
The inclination avoids working completely flat
and improves paper visibility when the box is placed on a table,
a bench, or your lap.
The strap is adjustable and removable.
It is used for transport and allows the box to be kept close to the body
between drawing stops.

Assemble your kit
For pencil sketching
A compact notebook, an HB pencil, a softer pencil,
an eraser, and a closed pencil sharpener are enough for most outings.
For writing and note-taking
Plan for a thin notebook, a main pen,
and a second tool for annotations or line variations.
For a mixed kit
Limit yourself to two pencils, a pen, an eraser,
and a few sheets held by the clips.
An overly loaded kit reduces available space and makes tools less accessible.
Use and maintenance
-
Place the most frequently used tools in the most accessible rings.
-
Check that pencil tips and metal parts do not rub directly against the notebook.
-
Open the stand on a stable surface before placing the notebook.
-
After use, remove graphite dust and wipe the box with a soft, slightly damp cloth.
Avoid wet tools, open inks,
and containers prone to leaking:
this box is designed for dry and compact materials.
🤍 Ikane Studio Tip
Create a fixed kit and keep it ready to go:
a notebook, two pencils, an eraser, and a pen.
The fewer choices you have when you go out,
the more the box truly fulfills its role as a portable studio.
