Incense objects

Incense moulding sets, incense tracing boxes and accessories

This collection brings together incense objects designed for preparation, tracing and slow burning: copper moulds, incense tracing boxes, burners, ash, powdered incense and fine tools.

Unlike standard incense sticks, these objects require a manual setup. The powder is pressed, shaped, traced or placed on ash before being lit. Each piece has a clear function: forming the line, stabilising the ash, holding the powder, protecting the burn or organising the tools.

What is incense tracing?

What is incense tracing?

Incense tracing uses powdered incense, ash and a stencil or guide. The powder is arranged into a thin path, then lit at one end. The line burns gradually, which makes the gesture more precise than lighting a stick.

Powder The scented powder creates the line or shape that will burn. It can be woody, resinous, floral, amber-like or smoky depending on the blend.
Ash Ash creates a stable, heat-resistant base. It helps the powder burn more evenly and keeps it away from direct contact with the metal.
Stencil or mould The stencil forms a thin incense path. The mould shapes the powder into small forms before burning.
Tools Fine metal tools are used to place, smooth, correct and remove excess powder without breaking the line.

How to choose

Choose a moulding set if you want to make small incense forms from powder.
Choose an incense tracing box if you want a complete setup with ash, tools and a slower visible burn.
Choose a sculptural box if the object must also work as a decorative piece on a desk, shelf or studio table.
