Unlike a round brush intended for detail, the flat brush is used to establish an area: moistening a sheet, creating a background, blending a color, applying a strip, creating a transition, or covering a surface without multiple passes.

🤍 Ikane Workshop Tip
Before a large wash, lightly moisten the paper then load the brush without crushing it. Work in continuous strokes, from edge to edge, to avoid rework marks. Rinse after use, reshape the head with your finger and let dry flat or head down.
