Dark Wood Narrow Tea Tray – minimalist format for Gong Fu Cha

This narrow dark wood tea tray helps structure a minimalist preparation surface for Gong Fu Cha, tea service, or a simple incense space.

Its long and thin format, approximately 48 to 50 cm in length, allows for aligning a teapot, a gaiwan, a few cups, or small accessories without cluttering the table.

The deep black finish provides a clean visual base, ideal for arranging a few well-placed objects: tea, smoke, reading, writing, or a calm preparation before creation.

INFORMATION

This tray serves as a dedicated surface for organizing tea items or preparation accessories. It is not designed to multiply elements, but to create a clear line: a vessel, a cup, a tool, an empty space.

Unlike a tea tray with integrated water collection, this format primarily functions as a presentation and work surface. For abundant rinses, it is preferable to use an absorbent towel or a draining tray as an additional accessory.

The wood grain, the depth of the black finish, and the dimensions may vary slightly between pieces.

FEATURES

Material: natural wood with black finish
Dimensions: approximately 48–50 × 9–11 × 2–4 cm
Format: long, narrow, and minimalist
Function: organize objects, structure the surface, and limit visual clutter
Precaution: do not use as a direct surface for a flame, ember, or charcoal

USE & CARE

Place the tray on a flat and stable surface, then arrange the items lengthwise: teapot or gaiwan, cup, spoon, tongs, or small accessory.

For tea, avoid excess stagnant water on the wood. Use an absorbent towel if the preparation involves repeated rinses or pours.

For incense, never place an ember, charcoal, flame, or hot support directly on the tray. Use an incense holder or a heat-resistant receptacle.

Wipe with a soft, dry cloth after use. Avoid soaking, abrasive products, and prolonged humidity to preserve the wood's finish.

CREATE YOUR TEA SPACE

For a compact Gong Fu Cha preparation, this tray can accompany the hand-painted gaiwan 150 ml, the Zisha purple clay covered bowl or the ceramic teapot with side handle.

To measure leaves and handle hot accessories, you can combine it with the wooden tea spoon, the bamboo duo with tea scoop and adjusting stick or the bamboo tea tongs.

To absorb water and further protect the surface, it can be complemented by the absorbent tea towel. For preparation with integrated water collection, you can also consult the compact bamboo tea tray.

For a space combining tea and incense, you can use it with the stainless steel incense holder plate, the mini square engraved alloy incense burner or the Prepare selection.

🤍 Ikane workshop tip
Use this tray as a preparation line: few objects, well-placed, with space between each element. A clear surface makes the gesture more precise and the moment more readable.
