Absorbent Tea Towel – Gong Fu Cha Preparation Surface
This absorbent tea towel is designed to accompany Gong Fu Cha preparation, protect the work surface, and absorb water used during rinsing, serving, or successive infusions.
Placed under a gaiwan, teapot, pitcher, or cups, it catches drops without interrupting the flow. It helps keep the table tidier during slow and repeated preparations.
Its absorbent coral fleece textile provides a soft surface, useful for stabilizing small accessories, limiting visible water on the table, and maintaining a calmer tea space.
INFORMATION
During Gong Fu Cha preparation, water often circulates: rinsing teaware, humidity around the gaiwan, drops under the cups, slight overflows during serving. This towel absorbs these excesses without needing to wipe after every step.
It can be used as a surface under a gaiwan, small teapot, pitcher, lidded bowl, or a few cups. It is also suitable for tables without a drainage tray, when a simple and compact preparation is desired.
The coral fleece textile is known for its absorbency. Its texture, thickness, and finishes may vary slightly between batches.

USE & CARE
Spread the towel on a flat surface before placing the gaiwan, teapot, cups, or accessories. Allow the textile to naturally absorb drops during preparation.
Avoid placing a flame, burner, embers, or very hot objects directly on the towel. For hot items, check that the heat is compatible with the textile.
Allow to dry completely after use. Wash gently if necessary, then air dry before storing to prevent trapped moisture.
