Potala Raw Tibetan Incense – thick sticks, dense smoke and woody scent

This raw Tibetan incense is made from plant powders and aromatic woods compressed into thick sticks, without a visible bamboo core.

Its dense format offers a different burn from classic thin incenses. The smoke appears gradually, with a more pronounced presence in the space and a dry, woody, sometimes earthier smell depending on the room, ventilation, and burn time.

Each bundle is hand-tied with a thin red thread and may show visible irregularities in texture, cut, and surface. These variations are part of the raw aspect of this type of incense.

INFORMATION

This incense is for people who are looking for a denser olfactory presence than a thin stick. The wider diameter changes the burn rate and produces more visible smoke.

It can accompany a moment of reading, tea, writing, or a calm break in a ventilated space. As its scent is more pronounced, it is best to start with a short burn in a small room.

The sticks may have slight differences in shape, surface, or thickness. This may slightly alter the burn from one stick to another.

FEATURES

Name: Potala
Composition: plant powders and aromatic woods
Length: approximately 15.5 cm
Content: approximately 22 sticks
Weight: approximately 40 g

USE & SAFETY

Place the stick on a suitable, stable, and heat-resistant holder. Light the end, let the flame catch for a few seconds, then gently blow to get a steady ember.

Use in a ventilated room, away from papers, fabrics, curtains, dried plants, or flammable objects. Never leave incense burning unattended.

Keep out of reach of children and pets. Do not ingest. Ventilate the room after use, especially in a small space.

TO PAIR WITH

For a lighter and more discreet burn, this incense can be complemented by fine Sandalwood or Agarwood aromatic wood incense.

To accompany a moment of tea, reading, or calm preparation, it can also be paired with the stoneware gaiwan with two cups or the compact bamboo tea tray.

To create a space around tea, incense, and relaxation objects, you can also consult the Prepare selection.

🤍 Ikane workshop tip
The thicker format produces denser smoke than classic fine incense. In a small room, start with a short burn, then ventilate after use to maintain a balanced olfactory presence.
