INFORMATION
Trimming allows for refining a piece after throwing, once the clay has stiffened enough to be worked without deforming. This step is used to lighten a base, form a foot, refine a volume, or correct irregularities.
The different blade shapes allow the tool to be adapted to the area being worked on: flat surface, rounded edge, hollow, bowl foot, interior curve, or harder-to-reach area.
This set is suitable for ceramic, pottery, clay sculpting, modeling, and refining forms before complete drying.

USE & CARE
Use the tools when the clay is stiffened, but not completely dry. Clay that is too wet may stick to the blades and deform; clay that is too dry becomes more difficult to refine cleanly.
Work by progressive removal rather than forcing in a single pass. The blades allow for control over the material removed, adjusting curves, and cleaning contact areas with greater precision.
After use, remove clay residues, wipe the blades, and let the wooden handles air dry. Avoid soaking the tools in water for extended periods to preserve the wood.
