Wooden folding watercolor board — palette, stand, and storage all in one compact format.
Open the box, lift the lid to hold a small sheet, and unfold the two side panels.
The paint pans remain in the center, the mixing area is on the right, and the round opening on the left accommodates a compatible small container.
Good to know:
the top groove is designed for a short brush, a pencil, or a small tool.
It is not suitable for long brushes.
As wood is a natural material, its shade, grain, and markings may vary from one piece to another; these differences do not constitute a defect.
Information
The lid serves as a stand for a small sheet, a watercolor card, or a notebook compatible with its dimensions.
It allows the paper to be propped up rather than working completely flat.
The central panel includes 24 small empty pans for distributing colors.
They are designed to hold small amounts of paint, not entire tubes.
The right panel features a clear surface for mixing.
The left panel has a circular opening designed to hold a small cup or container of a compatible diameter.

Preparing the box

-
Place a small sheet or notebook on the raised lid.
-
Place a compatible container in the round opening, then check that it is stable before adding water.
-
Only store a short brush or pencil in the top groove.
Paper and care
For wet work, choose watercolor paper around 300 gsm.
It may still buckle slightly with a lot of water, but it is more resistant than lighter paper.
After the session, empty the container, wipe the mixing surface, and immediately remove any water left on the wood.
Let the box dry open.
Do not fold it until the pans, palette, or wooden surfaces are dry.
🤍 Ikane Studio Tip
Prepare a selection of six to eight colors instead of filling all 24 pans on your first outing.
This will help you more easily identify the mixtures that are truly useful for your practice.
