Ceramic Teapot with Side Handle – Gong Fu Cha Infusion and Precise Serving
This glazed ceramic teapot with a side handle is designed for preparing and serving loose-leaf tea with a short, precise, and controlled motion.
Its low profile helps stabilize the hand during serving. The natural wood side handle provides a more comfortable grip, limiting direct contact with the ceramic's heat.
The textured glaze offers a mineral surface with deep nuances. This teapot is suitable for Gong Fu Cha infusions, small quantity servings, and more mindful tea moments.
INFORMATION
The side-handle teapot allows you to pour tea by slightly tilting your wrist, with a shorter movement than a classic-handle teapot. It is suitable for repeated infusions and precise servings.
It can be used to prepare loose-leaf teas such as oolong, black, green, white, or pu-erh teas, depending on the chosen water temperature and infusion time.
The glaze, ceramic nuances, texture, and wood grain may vary slightly from piece to piece.
FEATURES
Material: glazed ceramic
Handle: natural wood
Finish: textured glaze
Function: steep, pour with precision, and accompany successive infusions
Precaution: do not heat directly on a flame, hob, or heat source
USE & CARE
Rinse the teapot with hot water before the first infusion to warm the ceramic. Add the leaves, pour in hot water, then let steep according to the tea used.
Grasp the side handle, gently tilt your wrist, and pour in a steady stream. The motion should remain short and stable to avoid splashes or loss of precision.
Clean with clear water after use, without abrasive products. Avoid prolonged soaking of the wood handle and allow to dry completely before storing.
CREATE YOUR TEA SPACE
To measure the leaves and neatly slide them into the teapot, you can pair it with the
bamboo duo with tea scoop and adjusting rod.

🤍 Ikane Workshop Tip
Warm the teapot before infusing, then pour slowly, keeping your wrist flexible. The side handle allows for a more direct pour: no need to force, the tilt guides the flow.
