Wood and brass fountain pen – refillable with piston converter
This wood and brass fountain pen is perfect for handwriting, notebooks, annotations, signatures, and fine ink lines.
Its refillable piston reservoir, also called a converter, allows you to draw ink directly from a fountain pen compatible bottle.
Ink is not included. Use only liquid ink marked for fountain pens: Indian, acrylic, pigmented, or dip pen inks can clog the feed.

INFORMATION
The elongated wooden barrel ends with a brass section and cap. The cap protects the nib during transport and is removed to access the writing area.
The refillable system prevents the pen from being discarded when the ink runs out. The converter draws ink from a bottle, then supplies the nib during writing.
Wood may show natural variations in shade, grain, veining, or marking depending on the piece. Brass can also tarnish and darken gradually with hand contact.

WHAT INK TO USE?
Use bottled ink explicitly formulated for fountain pens. It must be fluid enough to flow through the feed without drying too quickly or depositing material in the mechanism.
Do not use Indian ink, acrylic ink, drawing ink, shellac-containing ink, or ink intended for dip pens.
Also avoid pigmented, shimmering, waterproof, or thick inks if they do not clearly state their compatibility with fountain pens.
FILLING THE RESERVOIR
Unscrew the wooden barrel and ensure the converter is securely attached behind the nib.
Turn the piston to push out the air and place the mechanism in the lowest position.
Immerse the entire nib in the ink, covering the small hole on its surface, then slowly turn the piston in the opposite direction to draw in the ink.
Remove the pen from the bottle, wipe the nib and section with a soft cloth, then screw the barrel back on.
After filling, wait a few seconds and test it on a sheet of paper before starting to write.
MAINTENANCE
Rinse the reservoir and nib with clean water when changing colors, when the flow becomes irregular, or before a long period of disuse.
Draw in and expel water several times with the piston until it runs clear. Do not use hot water, alcohol, or household cleaning products.
Wipe the wood and brass with a soft, dry cloth. Close the pen after use to limit ink drying in the nib.
If the pen is not used for several weeks, empty the reservoir, rinse it, and let it dry before storing.

For a first fill, choose a classic fountain pen ink, without pigments or glitter. It will be easier to rinse and will allow you to observe the actual flow of the nib.
