Acrylic roller for clay – 20 cm

This acrylic roller allows you to flatten clay, prepare even slabs, and smooth their surface before cutting, assembling, or adding textures.

Its smooth surface has low adhesion to clay and does not retain moisture. It is suitable for working with clay, porcelain, polymer clay, and various modeling pastes.

Its 20 cm size makes it easy to work with small and medium pieces. The roller is available in a hollow version, which is lighter to handle, or a solid version, for applying more pressure to the material.

INFORMATION

The roller allows you to spread the material over a flat surface and obtain a slab before cutting or shaping. It can also be used to reduce finger marks and homogenize a surface.

The hollow version requires less effort during repeated passes. The solid version provides more weight and facilitates the compression of firmer material.

FEATURES

• Material: transparent acrylic
• Length: 20 cm
• Diameter: 2 cm
• Content: 1 roller
• Uses: clay, porcelain, polymer clay and modeling paste

USE & CARE

Place the material on a clean, stable surface, then begin to spread it with regular passes from the center outwards. Flip the slab if necessary to maintain an even thickness.

To obtain an even slab, place two rods of the same thickness on each side of the material. The roller will rest on these guides when the desired thickness is reached.

Clean the roller with lukewarm water and mild soap before the residue dries. Wipe it thoroughly and store it away from impacts to preserve its surface.

FOR WHOM

This roller is suitable for creators who work with slab clay, make tiles, bowls, pendants, decorative elements, or small sculptures. It can also be used for polymer clay and modeling pastes.

TO COMBINE WITH

Combine this roller with the 9-piece modeling tool set for clay to shape and refine forms, the measuring caliper for ceramics and pottery to control dimensions, and the T-square with multiple markings to prepare regular lines before cutting.

IKANE WORKSHOP TIP

Rotate the slab regularly between passes rather than always rolling in the same direction. This distributes the pressure better and helps the material maintain a more even shape without excessive stretching.
