Hand-painted Gaiwan 150 ml – covered bowl for Gong Fu Cha and short infusions
This hand-painted gaiwan brings together the three essential elements of the covered infusion bowl: a bowl, a lid, and a saucer, for precise tea preparation.
Used in Gong Fu Cha practice, it allows you to observe the leaves unfurl, control the infusion time, and pour by slightly tilting the lid to filter the leaves.
Its 150 ml capacity is suitable for solo or shared tasting. The glazed ceramic retains heat, while the hand-painted design may show slight variations in patterns and shades.
INFORMATION
The gaiwan is a central tool for short infusions. Unlike a large teapot, it allows you to work with a small amount of water, multiple successive passes, and better control over extraction time.
It is suitable for loose-leaf teas such as oolong, white teas, green teas, pu-erh, or light black teas. The lid serves to retain the leaves during pouring, while allowing the infusion to pass through.
As each piece is hand-painted, patterns, details, and shades may vary slightly from one gaiwan to another.

USE & CARE
Rinse the gaiwan with hot water before the first infusion to warm the ceramic and prevent too sudden a thermal shock upon contact with hot water.
Place the leaves in the bowl, pour in hot water, then cover. To serve, hold the bowl with the saucer and slightly tilt the lid to filter the leaves while pouring.
Clean with clear water after use, without abrasive products. Do not place on a flame, hot plate, or direct heat source.
COMPOSE YOUR TEA SPACE
To measure the leaves and neatly slide them into the gaiwan, you can pair it with the
