9-inch adjustable angle square – stainless steel, wood, and brass

This adjustable angle square allows you to measure, transfer, and verify angles with precision on wood, thick paper, cardboard, leather, models, or technical drawings.

The stainless steel ruler features a double-sided graduation. The wooden arm, secured by a brass screw, allows you to adjust the angle and then maintain the setting while tracing.

Its 9-inch format, approximately 23 cm, is suitable for workshop tasks that require more control: checking a cut, aligning a piece, transferring an angle, or preparing a layout before intervention.

INFORMATION

This adjustable square is useful whenever an angle needs to be reproduced or checked. Unlike a fixed square, it allows you to adapt the opening to the desired line, then transfer this measurement to another medium.

It can be used in fine woodworking, wood carving, bookbinding, leatherwork, cardboard work, model making, preparatory drawing, or the installation of decorative elements.

The wood, brass, and steel provide a stable tool in hand, more durable than a simple plastic template for repeated use.

FEATURES

Length: 9 inches, approximately 23 cm
Measurement range: 0–20 cm
Materials: stainless steel, wood, and brass
Graduation: double-sided, laser marking indicated
Function: measure, align, transfer, and check an angle before cutting or assembly

USE & MAINTENANCE

Slightly loosen the brass screw, position the arm to the desired angle, then tighten before tracing. Ensure the ruler remains flat against the surface to avoid any misalignment.

To transfer an angle, take the measurement on the reference piece, lock the opening, then place the square on the surface to be traced. This action is useful before a cut, assembly, or repetitive pattern.

Wipe dry after use with a dry cloth, especially after contact with dust, glue, moisture, or dyed leather. Avoid soaking to preserve the wood.

TO COMBINE WITH

To draw parallel lines and structure a technical drawing, this square can complement the aluminum T-square for parallel lines and regular markings.

To transfer diameters, check proportions, or work on ceramics and modeling, you can combine it with the measuring and tracing compass.

For leather, wood, or artisanal marking, it can accompany the leather marking wheel or the letter and number punch set.

To prepare wooden pieces before carving or engraving, you can link it to the wood carving tool set or the Drawing selection.

🤍 Ikane Workshop Tip
Trace before acting, check before cutting. An accurate measurement reduces rework, material waste, and visible corrections on the support.
