Phosphorescent liquid dye for resin – luminous effects, castings and inclusions

This phosphorescent liquid dye is designed to be mixed with epoxy resin, UV glue or compatible creative preparations to create glow-in-the-dark effects.

After exposure to natural or ultraviolet light, the dye absorbs light and then emits a phosphorescent effect. It allows for a second reading of a creation: a hidden detail, a luminous inclusion, a resin jewel, a small decorative object, a model element, or an experimental fragment.

The material may show a deposit after resting. This is normal: simply mix the bottle well before use, then gradually incorporate the dye into the resin or UV glue.

INFORMATION

This dye allows you to create phosphorescent effects in castings, inclusions, resin jewelry, decorative pieces, DIY accessories or small material experiments.

Light shades such as jade white, lemon yellow, or apple green generally offer a more visible luminous effect than dark shades. The rendering depends on the exposure time, the quantity used, the thickness of the piece, and the mixing medium.

For a clearer result, it is advisable to test the dye on a small piece before using it in a final creation. Phosphorescence varies depending on the light received and the concentration of the dye in the preparation.

CHARACTERISTICS

Use: epoxy resin, UV glue, molds, decorative inclusions, DIY accessories
Effect: luminous in the dark after exposure to light or UV
Packaging: dropper bottle
Application: mix into a compatible preparation

USE & PRECAUTIONS

Shake or mix the bottle well before use to distribute the phosphorescent particles. Add the dye gradually to the resin or UV glue, then mix slowly to limit bubbles.

Start with a small amount, then increase only if the luminous effect or shade is not visible enough. Too high a dosage can alter the transparency, texture, or behavior of the resin depending on the product used.

Product intended for creative use only. Do not use on skin, eyes, lips, food, or objects intended for food contact. Work in a ventilated area, with gloves, and reserve tools used for this purpose.

LUMINOUS EFFECT

To activate the phosphorescent effect, expose the piece to strong light or a UV source before observing it in the dark. The more intense the exposure, the more visible the effect may be initially.

Thin, transparent, or lightly loaded pieces may give a more subtle rendering. More concentrated inclusions or thick areas can produce a more present light, depending on the chosen shade.

The final rendering also depends on the base color of the resin, the mold, the opacity of the mixture, and the curing time.

🤍 Ikane workshop tip
Start with a small amount, mix slowly, then test the result on a trial piece before a final creation. For a clearer effect, expose the piece to strong light or UV before observing it in the dark.
