Leather-bound notebook – 400 kraft pages for writing, journaling, and drawing

This compact notebook combines a brown leather cover, a soft tie closure, and 400 blank kraft paper pages for writing, journaling, drawing, or keeping track of ongoing work.

The 120 gsm kraft paper is suitable for dry or lightly loaded uses: pencil, graphite, ballpoint pen, slightly damp fountain pen, fine-tip marker, light collage, annotation, or sparingly used ink. It can serve as a writing notebook, practice journal, light sketchpad, or workshop notebook.

The leather may show slight variations in shade, grain, or markings from one piece to another. These differences are part of the material and may evolve with use.

INFORMATION

This notebook is designed to support long-term practice: daily notes, text fragments, preparatory sketches, project ideas, material observations, lists, visual research, or a logbook.

With its 400 pages, it is not limited to a few notes. It can follow a series, a personal project, a trip, a workshop period, or regular writing practice.

Kraft paper offers a warmer tone than classic white paper. It is well suited for dark lines, visible writing, light collages, and dry drawings.

USE & CARE

Use this notebook for handwritten notes, quick sketches, text fragments, composition trials, shape lists, or observations made during a workshop session.

To preserve kraft paper, prioritize dry tools or lightly loaded inks. Very liquid inks, washes, and heavily pigmented markers may mark the back or bleed through depending on their saturation.

Allow ink to dry before closing the notebook. Keep leather away from prolonged moisture and avoid storing it under excessive pressure to preserve the cover and closure tie.

ADDITIONAL TOOLS

For handwritten notes, long notes, or text fragments, this notebook can be paired with the brass and wood fountain pen, always testing the ink on an inconspicuous page before use.

For note-taking tools, letters, notebooks, and personal writings, it can join the Writing collection.

For dry sketches, shape research, or visual annotations, you can also consult the Drawing collection.

🤍 Ikane Workshop Tip
Use this notebook as a logbook: jot down an idea before starting, keep track of a trial, write down a material observation, or revisit a sketch later. To preserve kraft paper, prioritize dry tools or lightly loaded inks.
