Terracotta Incense Burner – perforated lid for cones and resins

This terracotta incense burner allows for indoor incense diffusion with contained combustion, thanks to a compact base and a perforated lid.

The lid allows smoke to pass through while partially protecting the burning material. It is suitable for incense cones and resins used with a heat-appropriate holder.

Hand-shaped, each burner may exhibit slight variations in shade, glaze, relief, or surface. These differences are part of the object and do not alter its use.

INFORMATION

This burner is designed for small quantities of incense preparations. Its base holds the material, while the perforated lid allows for more contained smoke diffusion than a fully open holder.

For incense cones, it allows for simple, centered combustion. For resins, use only an appropriate method, with charcoal, sand, ash, or an insulating holder depending on the type of resin and product instructions.

Terracotta can retain heat after use. The burner must always cool completely before being moved, cleaned, or stored.

FEATURES

Material: terracotta
Finish: enameled or raw depending on model
Dimensions: approx. Ø 11.5 cm × height 7.7 cm
Function: contain combustion, allow smoke to circulate, and limit residue dispersion

USE & SAFETY

Place the burner on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface. Place a small amount of incense or a suitable cone in the base, then carefully replace the lid.

For resins, do not place the material directly on a fragile surface. Use suitable charcoal, a layer of sand or ash, or an insulating holder designed for this type of combustion.

Never move the burner during combustion. The lid, base, and residues can become hot. Wait for complete cooling before any handling.

Never leave burning incense unattended. Keep away from papers, fabrics, curtains, dry plants, or flammable objects. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Ventilate the room after use.

MAINTENANCE

Wait until the burner and ashes are completely cool before emptying residues or cleaning the base.

Remove incense traces with a soft cloth, a small brush, or light cleaning depending on the finish. Avoid abrasive products, which can mark the enamel or the clay surface.

Allow to dry completely before storing, especially if the burner has been cleaned with clear water.

TO PAIR WITH

To work with powdered incense before burning, this burner can accompany sandalwood incense powder, to be used in small quantities and on an appropriate holder.

To form cones or small shapes from powdered incense, you can pair it with the copper inverted incense molding set.

For another approach to smoke and materials to heat, you can also consult the natural shell smoke receptacle or the square mini incense burner.

To create a space around incense, tea, reading, or writing, you can find the Prepare selection.

🤍 Ikane workshop tip
Use a small amount of incense and let the lid regulate diffusion. Do not move the burner during combustion: wait for complete cooling before cleaning or storing the object.
