This set brings together nine black pens of varying thicknesses for line drawing, illustration, hatching, outlining, and precision work.
The seven calibrated tips are used to create steady lines, from the finest detail to more prominent outlines. The BR tip functions differently: its brush-like shape allows you to vary the line width as you draw.
The set includes tips from 0.15 to 0.50 mm, one L tip, and one BR tip, all contained in a flexible transparent pouch.
INFORMATION
Calibrated tips produce a relatively constant line width. They are suitable for outlines, hatching, repeated textures, and areas that require consistent thickness across multiple strokes.
Conversely, the BR tip allows you to transition from a fine line to a broader stroke by adjusting pressure and angle. It is better suited for accents, line variations, and small solid areas.

USE & CARE
Use light pressure with calibrated tips. Pressing harder does not cleanly increase their width and primarily accelerates wear.
Relatively smooth paper facilitates long lines and tight hatching. On heavily textured paper, finer tips may snag or produce a less continuous line.
PAIR WITH
For preparatory sketches, use the black sketchbook with beige paper .

♥ IKANE STUDIO TIP
To give a drawing more depth, keep a fine tip for details, an intermediate one for main shapes, and the BR for occasional accents. Three levels of line weight are generally enough to create a readable hierarchy.
