Set of 5 painting knives – oil, acrylic and textures
This set includes five painting knives of different sizes for applying, moving, mixing, and scraping paint directly on a palette or surface.
The blades allow you to work with thicker material than a brush: impasto, relief, irregular flat tints, sharp edges, layering, and scraping effects.
The small knives are suitable for localized touch-ups and material details; the longer ones allow you to cover a wider area or move more paint in a single stroke.
INFORMATION
A painting knife does not apply paint like a brush. Depending on the angle and pressure, it can leave a thick layer, spread the material thin enough to reveal the support, or create a sharp edge.
To maintain a pronounced relief, work with sufficiently thick paint. A very fluid material will spread more and keep fewer marks from the blade.

USE & CARE
Use the small blades for details, edges, and touch-ups. The wider ones are suitable for impasto, mixing, and large areas of material.
Vary the angle rather than forcing the blade: almost flat to spread paint, tilted higher to move or scrape the material.
Remove excess paint immediately after your session, then clean according to the medium used. Dry the blades thoroughly and avoid leaving the wooden handles soaking in water or solvent.

To alternate between material worked with a knife and brush applications, pair them with the acrylic and oil painting brush set .
