Brush holder for hanging and drying calligraphy brushes
After a calligraphy session, the brushes must be carefully rinsed to remove all traces of ink.
Once clean, they should not be dried lying on a table: the water could remain in the fibers and rise towards the base of the brush.
Hanging the brushes upside down allows the water to drain naturally and the bristles to air dry.
This vertical drying helps to preserve the shape of the tip and to maintain the flexibility of the fibers used for writing with ink.
A well-cleaned and properly dried brush can retain its precision and remain usable for many years.

🤍 Ikane Workshop Tip

Then hang the brush head down so that it can air dry and retain the shape of its tip.
