Watercolor pans metal box
Pan watercolors – metal tin
This watercolor tin contains solid color pans that can be reactivated directly with water for working with washes, blending, and layering.
The amount of water allows you to vary the intensity: use plenty of water for a transparent color, and less water for a bolder hue. Multiple layers can then be applied once dry.
The metal tin protects the pans between sessions and keeps the colors organized in a format that is easy to use on a table or transport on the go.
INFORMATION
Lightly dampen the pan before picking up the color. A small amount of water produces a more concentrated paint; greater dilution allows more of the white of the paper to show through.
The result also depends on the surface: its grain, absorbency, and interaction with water influence outlines, gradients, and layering.

USE & CARE
Wet your brush, reactivate the color, and then adjust the dilution on a mixing area or palette before applying it to the paper.
To layer multiple colors without accidentally blending them, let the first layer dry before applying the next.
After your session, let the pans air dry before closing the tin. Also, wipe any water off the metal and rinse your brushes with clean water.
PAIR WITH
For lines, small shapes, and controlled washes, use the round watercolor brush .
To dampen a surface, apply a base coat, or work on larger areas, pair it with the set of 4 flat bamboo brushes .

♥ IKANE STUDIO TIP
Test the same color with three different amounts of water on the paper you are using. Once dry, you will have three immediate dilution references to build values without leaving it to chance.
