Patinated leather grimoire notebook – writing notebook with lace and bookmark

This patinated leather grimoire notebook is designed for handwritten use: journal, personal notes, quotes, text fragments, lists, or ideas to keep close at hand.

Its leather cover, visible stitching, and lace closure give it a more antique presence than a standard notebook, with a compact, easy-to-carry format.

Its use remains deliberately targeted: it is suitable for notes and daily writing, but it is not a notebook designed for heavy drawing, heavily loaded markers, or wet techniques.

INFORMATION

The leather cover features antique-inspired stitching and a lace closure that keeps the notebook closed between uses. The whole makes for a compact, structured object that is pleasant to keep on a desk or in a bag.

The notebook comes with a water lily leaf-shaped bookmark, useful for finding a current page without dog-earing pages or slipping separate paper between them.

The leather may show natural variations in shade, grain, marking, or nuance. These differences are part of the product's normal appearance and make each item slightly different.

FEATURES

Cover: patinated leather
Stitching: antique style, visible
Closure: tie lace
Paper: 100 g/m²
Accessory: water lily leaf bookmark
Use: handwritten, journal, personal notes, quotes, lists, short texts
Precaution: not suitable for washes, heavily loaded markers, or repeated water applications

WRITING ON 100 G/M² PAPER

100 g/m² paper is well-suited for daily notes, ballpoint pens, lightly loaded rollerball pens, or fountain pens with moderate ink flow. It allows for consistent writing without making the notebook too thick.

For journaling, quotes, text fragments, or brief ideas, this paper weight offers a good balance between writing comfort and notebook lightness.

This notebook is not designed for heavy drawing, saturated markers, washes, or repeated water applications. For these uses, it is better to choose thicker paper or paper specifically designed for wet techniques.

USE & CARE

Untie the lace without abruptly pulling on the fasteners. Close the notebook only when the ink is dry, especially with a fountain pen, rollerball pen, or more fluid ink.

Preferably use writing tools with low ink saturation. Test on the first page or a discreet area if using a fountain pen or ink with high flow.

Clean the cover with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid water, solvents, abrasive products, and prolonged sun exposure.

Leather evolves with use: it may change in shade, patinate, and show slight marks over time.

PAIR WITH

For daily writing, this notebook can be paired with the rotating brass and wood ballpoint pen or the brass and wood fountain pen, depending on the desired line type.

For slower writing, with a dip pen or liquid ink, you can also check out the dip pen set or the ink writing set with glass pen.

To carry it with a pen without a full pencil case, it can be combined with the notebook and pen case.

🤍 Ikane Workshop Tip
Keep this notebook for a single function: journal, reading notes, quotes, or brief thoughts. A clearly defined use makes it more alive than a notebook left empty because it's supposed to contain everything.
