Calligraphy dip pen ink 30ml
30 ml dip pen ink – dip pen and ink drawing
This 30 ml liquid ink is intended for use with a dip pen for writing, calligraphy, and ink drawing.
Ten colors are available for working on lettering, outlines, cross-hatching, illustration details, or line variations.
The result depends as much on the nib used as on the paper: a fine nib produces a more precise line, while an absorbent surface allows the ink to diffuse more into the fibers.
INFORMATION
Dip only the functional part of the nib. Too much ink can cause a droplet to form at the start of a stroke; too little requires more frequent reloading.
The width of the nib, the amount of ink held, and the paper's absorbency directly affect the density, consistency, and sharpness of the line.
This ink is designed for dip pens and traditional pen holders. Do not pour it into a fountain pen unless explicitly indicated as compatible.

USE & CARE
Dip the nib, then remove excess ink against the inner edge of the bottle. Make a test stroke on a scrap of the same paper before you begin drawing or writing.
If the stroke forms a droplet at the start, reduce the ink load. If it becomes dry or skips after a few centimeters, lightly reload the nib.
Rinse the nib with clear water after use, before the ink dries in the slit or around the metal, then dry it thoroughly.
Close the bottle after use and store it upright, away from heat and direct light.
PAIR WITH
To vary the width and behavior of your stroke, use the calligraphy pen holder with 5 interchangeable nibs .
To test the ink on different textures, use the Japanese cotton paper cards – 3 grains . The fine grain is better suited for precise lines; more pronounced grains make line irregularities more visible.
To compare diffusion on more absorbent or controlled paper, use the artisanal Xuan paper , choosing the treated finish if you are looking for sharper outlines.

♥ IKANE STUDIO TIP
Draw three lines after each dip: the first reveals if the nib is overloaded, the second usually provides the most consistent flow, and the third helps determine when the nib needs to be reloaded.
